Morris History

The first log cabin was built in Morris is 1834.  The Village of Morris was established in 1842.  The opening of the I&M Canal in 1848 (and the first steam train railroad in 1853) allowed the village to prosper.

Roads/ Highways

The main roads in Morris are Division St (north-south) and Bedford Rd (east-west).  Morris is also conveniently located by I-80, which gives commuters easy access to different areas.
